Maleta, ladrillos y cemento

El artista usó su propio equipaje después de viajar desde la Habana a Nueva York. El espacio interior de su maleta, como alegoría de una ventana, fue cerrado con ladrillos de Manhattan. Esta es una obra que encarna de una manera poética la situación de viajar y emigrar. La maleta es siempre un objeto que contiene nuestras memorias y más importantes cosas cuando estamos viajando. La pared de ladrillos y su peso crea una metáfora sobre la imposibilidad del retorno y las barreras que cargamos en la vida.
